Our story: building a bridge to connection

At I.C.A.N., we believe in the power of connection and the importance of a safe space. Discover the journey that led to our creation and how we're committed to supporting incarcerated adults.

From experience to empowerment

I.C.A.N. was born from personal experience. Having spent over 10 years incarcerated in Oregon, our founder understood the profound need for a platform where incarcerated adults could connect and be heard. This journey is about turning personal challenge into a shared opportunity for growth and understanding.

Building confidence and connection

We envision I.C.A.N. as a place where individuals can gain confidence and build new contacts. It's a space to feel accomplished by sharing achievements and the positive changes they have made. Our goal is to foster an environment of celebration, where every step forward is recognized and valued.

Connecting beyond the walls

While our core focus is incarcerated adults, I.C.A.N. aims to bridge connections with a wider community. We seek to link individuals with vital resources such as employment opportunities, religious services, family, friends, and broader community networks, fostering a holistic approach to reintegration and support.

"I.C.A.N. offers an essential bridge for connection, providing a voice and a community to those who need it most."
